Our online live tutoring is truly free, but we appreciate your generously donating to one or more of the following charities for each tutoring session your child receives from us. This is completely voluntary and you decide how much to give, but your donation will go a long way toward building a strong world for all of us.
Featured Charity: Neema International
AVA founder Ava visited Tanzania in the summer of 2019. While awed by the natural scenery in that country, she was also struck by the level of poverty there. The effect of poverty on school-age children made a particularly strong and lasting impression on Ava.
Upon returning to the U.S., Ava searched for ways to help the kids in Tanzania, and came across Neema International, founded by Emery/Weiner alumna Mandy Stein and based right there in Tanzania. Their story has been featured in the Buzz Magazines.
Neema International runs an orphanage and also an early-education school in Tanzania. It also organizes local residents in making goods by hand for sale online to help alleviate local poverty. We have a number of beautiful tote bags handmade by women in Tanzania. We sell them for $20 each, and 100% of the proceeds go to Neema. Please contact us if you’re interested in purchasing.
